I Wonder If We Will Ever Get Palin Back

With all the madness of starting two new jobs, selling our house, finding a new place to live, not being able to find a new place to live, and likely moving into an extended stay on Saturday...we decided after Christmas to send Palin to Grandma and Papa's until the dust settled.

It went down like this. Early morning December 29th John says "Honey I need to talk to you" he then  proceeds with the recommendation to have Miss.  P head back to Nashville with K & J until we got settled down in Boca".  Que tear and heart ache. I know it was hard for him as John has always been Palin's favorite.  Palin and Jack have never been away from each other, with the exception of maybe one night.   Bottom line  I love this dog, I never thought in my life I would love an animal this much.  I explained this awhile back in when I first started blogging and posted  this post.  I would be lying if I said the first year of Jacks life may have been a little tough on her.  I was a little tough on her, and maybe a little impatient as I was always worried about Jack.  The trillion pictures we took of P were replaced by Jack, but now that Jack is older and they are best friends it is pictures of P & Jack.  She is back in the game...10 lbs heavier I might add.

Since she has been gone things have been quiet, and a bit lonely around here without her.  The things that annoy me about Palin  are the jumping when I walk in the door, the barking every time Fedex drops off an Amazon box (I might add this is quite frequent due to Amazon prime), the following me to the bathroom, the jumping on guests, etc.   Well I want those things back, I want her back as soon as possible.  I want her to run with, to jump on the bed in the morning and at night, to watch her and Jack play fetch, to see how patient she is while Jack constantly tries to kiss her, etc.  I am a little nervous about what it will be like when she comes home. To be honest my in laws are like the dog whisperer's, sometimes I think it is a little weird actually.  Just kidding K & J, no in all seriousness they are like the biggest dog lovers ever and P has tons of playmates since they have like 10 dogs.  This clip from bridesmaids may sum up what I am talking about.  They would likely agree.  I digress.  In a few weeks she will hopefully be back with us, and I can't wait.  I need her by my side, she is the only work colleague I have when I am not traveling.  She is a trusted assistant who sits by my feet all day, every day.  Making cold calls, working on deals.  Palin I love you and we can't wait to have you come home, until then we appreciate your face time kisses.
