Thankful For My Team....Team Semmy

Last week was one of those weeks where I felt like I was swimming.  It was crazy, 6 states three days...oh and that was just my schedule.  John's was quite similar.  It was one of those weeks where as I was treading I was appreciating the communication and team work JMS and I have in our relationship.  In May we will have been married for three years, and the biggest things I have learned in that almost three years is that communication and team work are so critically important.  Over the past year I have been even more thankful for our approach.  We are a team with everything when it comes to Jack  and life and I believe that is how it should be.

I was recently having a conversation with a family member about life.  Life is not easy, there is no such thing as a perfect life.  Everybody at any given time has something going on in their life that they need to overcome. Whether it is emotional, financial, physical. We all make sacrifices for our families, our friends, ourselves to be able to live the life we have imagined.   But getting through those times are about your attitude and what you percieve the outcome of that particular life challenge should be.  Unfortunately predicting the outcomes can sometimes be out of our control, that is life.  Yet, the attitude is the key piece to help get closer to the outcome you may at least want.  Last week was an example of sacrifice, stress, and craziness.  There are many weeks like this in our house.  It was about having a positive attitude to power through, to support one another, make the most of the situation, not dwell, and get to Friday so we could be together.  It was about teamwork for us.  For others I know you may not have that perfect team member right now in the form of a spouse., but that is where you need to have the attitude to be the captain of your individual team and go after what you want with a positive attitude.  If you do good things, make a  difference, and have a positive attitude good things will come I promise, but if you dwell you will not move ahead.

Bottom line  I am so happy this week is upon us.  It gives time for all of us to reflect on the things we have in our life, and to pause and appreciate.  I am thankful for our team, Team Semmy.  Our life is crazy, but fun and filled with positive attitudes, love, laughter....and awesome dance moves.
