St. Paddy's Day Recap & Irish Wisdom To Parents

This weekend was awesome!  I have to say that I love all the different events that are constantly going on in Delray.  It is true when they say it is "Americas number 1 small town".  I didn't realize how big St. Paddys day was in this little town until signs started popping up all over the place a few weeks ago.  It started with opening ceremonies Friday evening. They had bagpipers and firefighters from all over, leprechauns, and of course plenty of Guiness.  Jack was kind of scared of the bag pipes which I thought was funny, but as soon as the band started playing little man was life of the party.  Below we are representing with members of the Boston Pipe and Drum Crew.

Saturday was the big parade.  My dad headed down to join in the fun which was a blast.

The parade was awesome, the best St. Patricks Day parade and party I have ever been too.  100,000 people lined the streets of Delray to celebrate in green and white. Jack was extremely popular on the parade route and got tons of green beads. Bottom line it was a great memory and I can't wait until next year.

On Friday a package came in the mail from mom and Jake.  A book of Irish Wisdom for Parents.  These are my favorite words of Wisdom.

"A child will be known by its manners"

"What the child sees is what a child does"

"As the old cock crows, the young cock learns."

This one I don't agree with.... " A son is a son until he marries, a daughter is your daughter until you die"

God forbid my poor future daughter in law.

"A good laugh and a long sleep the cure for all"
